90+ Scholarship Recipient- Kaile Roscoe

  1. Share a little bit about yourself, brief little note about who you are! Are you or anyone in your family a member of the 90+ community? Or were you referred by the ref association?

I am Kaile Roscoe a freshman in high school next year a sophomore. I like to play soccer and travel! When I first moved to Spokane 3 years ago I played for 90+. I saw the referee scholarship through a news letter.

  2. Give a brief explanation on why you applied for this scholarship and why you wanted to become a referee.

I applied for the scholarship because I know referees are in high demand when I played soccer. My games or my sisters would often be short on referees and sometimes parents would step in. I didn’t want that happening to other kids games I wanted kids to just play and have fun with experienced referees and the right amount.

  3. How has the game of soccer or youth sports in general impacted you?

I played soccer for 5 years, it was the only sport I tried that I loved! I met my best friend through soccer. I had so much fun and it really taught me hardwork and teamwork.

  4. Now that you have completed the training what do you look forward to the most about being an official?

I look forward to being a referee because it is my first job other than babysitting and I get make sure kids can play their games and I hope to make new friends who are also new referees!
